Lance is training and riding as hard as ever!

Posted by admin
Lance Armstrong, Professional cycling

oakley-lance-armstrong3

Lance had a strong showing at the Tour Down Under yesterday, even surprising himself with his perfomance. I’m so excited to see Lance racing again this season, espepecally since I’m an older rider as well 2 yrs younger then Lance. I read in another article as well that his coach Chris Carmichael had to slow Lance’s training progress down a bit so he doesn’t peak too soon as he was progressing faster then expected. I predict that if Lance does well this year that the average age of retiring cyclists will be extended almost a decade lol, we’ll see though.

I would love to see some power files of Lance to get an idea of what kind of numbers he’s putting out, but I guess that he and his coaches might want to keep that hush hush for now.

Go Lance!

Boonen positive for Cocaine.

Posted by admin
Professional cycling

This doesn’t surprise me at all either from the impression I got of this guy reading about him in recent years. This is bad for Boonen, since even though he didn’t get caught doing EPO or roids, he will in the eyes of the most of the world will be a illegal drug user and why would he use cocaine but not performance enhancing drugs? Of course maybe he only does cocaine, but I think personally that if someone does that,  is it that far of a leap of imagination that he’s doing things to improve his ride? That’s all the pro cycling needs now is yet more controversy in an already badly beaten up sport.

This pisses me off so much, I have so much respect for the sport and the clean champions, these pro-cyclists doing drugs are lucky that I’m not a pro riding with them, I would kick each one of their a***es for dirting up the sport like this. Who cares if you win by cheating, you’re a loser then, at least in your own eyes and that’s the only opionin that really matters in the end. I hope Boonen didn’t make his wins with enhancement in the past, but you really have to wonder now, and we may never know for sure. I think they do it for the money, for the win, to boost their ego. You can make money easier other ways without cheating, and if boosting your ego at the risk of your own health is worth it to you, then you shouldn’t be racing in the first place.
